Chris Vanderburgh

President

​

Chris is a 5th year Politics student from Guelph, Ontario. He has led the club for the past three years and is currently writing his Honours thesis on international nuclear non-proliferation regimes, tentatively titled "Saturdays are For the Boys, Sundays are for Proliferating Nuclear Weapons". When not assiduously working towards a better club, Chris is Founder and CEO of Top Gun Landscaping and works as a Councillor on the Acadia Students' Union.  

Kyle Thompson-Clement Vice President

Kyle is also in his 5th year as a Politics student from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Kyle's interests lie in aviation, as he is a former Air Force Cadet, and one day hopes to become an air traffic controller. Kyle represented the Russian Federation on the Additional Security Council at NMUN 2018, one of the most prestigious delegations available. When not studying geopolitical complexities, Kyle is writing as Opinions Editor of The Athenaeum, Acadia's student newspaper. 

Colin Mitchell

Colin is a 4th year Politics (Honours) student from Vancouver, BC. He raised over $4000 for AMUN's most recent trip to New York City and was the sole award winner on the trip. He has also served on the Acadia Students' Union as Arts Senator and Student Board of Governors Representative. Colin has also worked for the United Nations, with his Honours thesis on his work at the UN Broadband Commission during his time in Geneva, Switzerland. While not actively creating a better world Colin is President of the Paul Tom Debate Society and runs Humans of Acadia. 

Mallory Kroll

Head of Education

Mallory is a 5th year Economics student from Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia. She is currently writing her Honours thesis on labour action in the Soviet Union and has served Acadia Model UN in the past. Mallory also spent her third year studying abroad at Swansea University, in Wales. When she's not researching the depths of Soviet Russia you can find her as the Managing Editor of The Athenaeum, Acadia's student newspaper, and sipping on copious amounts of coffee. 

Jacinda Solomon

Jacinda is a 4th year Politics student from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her interests lie in women's participation in international affairs, as she represented Belgium on the Commission for the Status of Women at NMUN 2018. When she is not defending women's rights around the world you can find her deep in a Harry Potter novel.   

Sebastian Farkas

Head of recruitment

Sebastian is a 3rd year Politics student from Calgary, Alberta. His interests lie in free speech, energy freedom, democracy, and civil society affairs. Sebastian is looking to begin his Honours thesis in the next year. When not passionately describing his home province, you can find Sebastian on the golf course putting Tiger Woods to shame.
